Killer Coffee Co. Stay Away!

I grabbed a bag of the Killer Coffee Co. "Darker Side" beans while they were on special at Woolworths. I was keen to try them out in my DeLonghi automatic machine, but unfortunately, the experience was far from smooth.

The beans were extremely oily, and that caused major issues with my grinder and brewing unit. It got so bad that the machine struggled to extract anything, making horrible noises like it was about to blow up. I had to stop using it immediately to avoid any damage.

I ended up using a separate grinder just to get a cup out of it—but even then, the coffee tasted incredibly weak, not what you'd expect from something marketed as "strong." The beans also seemed a bit stale, which might explain the discounted price at Woolies.

If you have an automatic machine or want quality coffee beans, I’d give these a miss.
